With more than seventy five percent of Americans over 35 having some form of gum disease ¹, gum disease or periodontists (periodontal disease) can be called as a silent epidemic, affecting tens of millions of people in the U.S. alone, emphasizing the vital significance of effective preventative care and treatment methods.

Gum Disease Treatment is a SERIOUS issue folks!!

Poor dental health and gum disease is not a matter that should be taken lightly. As this article suggests, heart disease and other medical conditions can be linked to poor dental health.

You mentioned about alcohol, I wonder how serious can it be for a coffee-drinker like me. Is tea more forgiving to the teeth?

excellent post...! Another problem with acidic sodas and coffee is the pH balance problem. an acidic pH makes the bacteria grow faster and therefore you get more toxins. Also xylitol is an excellent sugar that the bacteria cannot utilize - but we (as humans) can!

Gum disease can also lead to bad breath, ultimately leading to cavities, root decay and perpetual head aches, these are just few of those which are directly related to gum disease, as i understand it can even start stomach problems, indigestion and acid reflux in severe cases
