I have personally always found that hot tea with lemon and honey to work the best. I tried the cayenne pepper method before and it actually made me feel much much worse! If you are using a recipe with it, however, I have found that it works somewhat. The tea with lemon and honey though works every time!

Great article! I had never heard of actually putting the garlic or onion in the ear canal. What my family would do, however, is having garlic boiling in a pot of water, to get the vapors going. In a small room, it helps with the humidity and ear infections. The largest reason why this works is that garlic and onions are natural antibiotics!
